Therapy Services & Intensives

Individual Trauma Therapy

At our office in Fort Collins, Colorado (and via telehealth throughout Colorado) we work to create access to the latest trauma treatment modalities. We believe in empowering clients with neuroscience-informed psychoeducation so that they can be experts in their own mental health and view their symptoms as adaptations to stress and trauma over their lifespan, rather than a diagnosis.

Our therapy team members have training in evidence-based treatments for anxiety, depression, Post-traumatic stress disorder, complex trauma & dissociative disorders, anger issues, abuse recovery, and grief.

Therapy Intensives

Hope Roots offers trauma therapy intensives in Fort Collins, Colorado for groups and individuals. Individual EMDR Therapy can be done in a customizable intensive format over one or 2 days. Group Intensives are offered quarterly (or as needed).

EMDR Therapy is often more effective or accessible when done in an intensive format. An EMDR Therapy Intensive is all 8-phases of EMDR therapy done over several hours and spanning 1-3 days, rather than shorter weekly or biweekly sessions. An EMDR Intensive would include preparation and intake sessions (via telehealth if needed), 1-3 days of intensive in-person reprocessing in Fort Collins, CO customized to your needs and schedule, and a follow-up session. Intensives are designed to allow clients to travel from outside of the area if needed.

Intensives may include: preparation skills and resourcing (EMDR Therapy phase 2), reprocessing of trauma memories (EMDR Therapy phases 3-7), parts work, and yoga or mindful movement. Optional add-ons include a retreat style cabin setting in the Poudre Canyon or massage therapy sessions.

Group Offerings

Mindful Movement

Mindful Movement is a body-centered group focused on movement as a mechanism for space creation within our internal system. Participants can count on a container of consistency: 15 min tune-ins to share how you and your body are arriving, 60 min of movement, mindfulness, & meditation invitations, 15 min close-outs for processing what’s landed during session.

Day/Time: Thursdays from 3:00-4:15pm

Dates: Ongoing (Open group, no commitment required, an intake must be completed prior to attending this group)

Taking up Space: Recovery from Abusive Relationships

Group members will learn skills to navigate relationships with difficult people, understand how their nervous system responds in abusive situations, discuss the residual trauma and patterns left by abusive partners or family members, and support one another's growth and self-awareness as they learn to feel comfortable taking up space and being themselves again. The group members will prepare for EMDR Therapy and move through the 8-phases of EMDR Therapy as a group.

Day/Time: TBD

Dates: August/September 2025; the group will start once 6 participants are ready to begin (ongoing commitment is required, this will be a “closed” group)

Release & Replenish: Secondary Trauma Recovery for helping Professionals

Release secondary or vicarious trauma with group EMDR therapy, mindfulness training, Accu-Detox, sound healing, guided medications, and more. These group offerings are for individuals who regularly experience secondary trauma in the workplace - first responders, mental health professionals, health care workers, social workers, teachers, et cetera. This group can be offered as needed for groups of 5 or more. We hope to offer it once per month as soon as we have enough participants. In group EMDR therapy, individuals do not share out loud about the images/emotions/thoughts being processed.

Date/Time: TBD; 2 hours

Our Therapy Team

Hope Roots offers trauma-focused and evidence-based therapy for individuals seeking deeper trauma recovery. Whether you’re coping with trauma symptoms due to a recent event or a couple of decades of “walking on eggshells” in difficult relationships, stress and trauma leave an imprint on the nervous system that can be hard to understand and leave you feeling frustrated by your own emotions. If you are ready (or want to become ready) to get to the roots of those symptoms and find a breakthrough, we would love to help you on your journey.

At our office in Fort Collins, Colorado (and via telehealth throughout Colorado) we work to create access to the latest trauma treatment modalities. We have therapy team members trained in EMDR Therapy, Attachment-focused Therapy, Yoga & Mindfulness Interventions, Neurofeedback, Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems, and Psychedelic-assisted Psychotherapy.
