Yoga for Trauma Therapy Preparation Intensive

In this immersive group, yoga philosophy and mindful movement will be used to learn & practice the skills needed to begin more intensive trauma therapy (such as EMDR therapy or Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy). The learning focuses on understanding the connection between trauma and the body’s response, the basics of yoga psychology, and how to cultivate the awareness and calm needed to do deeper emotional healing. The movement portions of this group will not be like a typical “yoga class”, but more akin to mindful movement where individuals focus on following their own inner cues, rather than an instructor. Each session will involve easy mindful movement, a new skill to help with trauma therapy (such as calm state imagery), & time to process with group members (about the skills being taught, not trauma memories).

Note: This program is currently offered to individuals as preparation for their own healing as a 6-week group or a 2-day intensive. If you are a therapist or other professional seeking to learn these tools for your professional development, please click here.
