Alex Bodie, BA + Master of Social Work (MSW) Therapist Intern

I grew up in Warren, Ohio an hour southeast of Cleveland. One of my favorite things about my hometown are the green spaces that exist within the city limits - whenever i go home i visit the Laird Communal Garden where i created a labyrinth held dearly by surrounding garden beds filled with herbs and perennials. Besides various places in Ohio, i have also lived way up north on the coast of California and now most recently on The Front Range in Colorado. In 2013, i graduated from the University of Toledo with a degree in Communication. Over the years, i have worked in multiple nonprofit roles spanning housing, education, harm reduction, and mental health care. In 2021, after years of working with individuals, families, and communities, i began a Master of Social Work (MSW) program with a specialization in trauma-informed care at the University of Northern Iowa.

  • Alex sees clients in person at the Hope Roots office in Fort Collins, CO, or via telehealth for clients located anywhere in Colorado.
